dc.description.abstract This article presents a critical review of the literature on the concept of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) concept. The study focuses on different dimensions of the concept starting with its origins, factors contributing to its adoption and key industry settings with HACCP practices. The article further analyzes key definitions of HACCP by different authors, its various models and key empirical studies. The study also reviews existing challenges on HACCP conceptualization. Finally the article suggests the way forward on the HACCP concept with a focus on suggested comprehensive definition of HACCP and its implications on future research and managerial practices. en_US
